Looking for a quick/cheap favor?

So...I stumbled onto this site a while ago, and rediscovered it today.  Get cheap favor boxes (under "boxes" > "favor boxes"), or choose some craft gift boxes ("boxes" > "gift boxes" > "natural kraft jewelry boxes"), and then fill them with bulk candy!!

Tuck top boxes, 200 of the 2x2x2 boxes for $52!  That's $0.26 each!

It would be easy to stamp the tops of these, add a tissue pom pom flower, or just tie a cute ribbon around these to make them super cute!

Quick look at the cake topper...

I've made a little progress...now to paint the face and add more accessories.  I've also got to work on the groom...once the groom decides what he and his groomsmen will wear (yes, he insisted on choosing himself, and yes, it's less than 2 months from the big day, and he hasn't even thought about it yet.  oh--and YES, it's driving me crazy).

Wedding "traditions"

On the list of things that will not be happening at our wedding:
1.  cake in the face
2.  father/daughter dance
3.  bouquet/garter toss
4.  something old, something new, etc.


ANNND...the biggest thing:  we will not be asking for money...like this (got this in the mail from a relative this past week...).  Don't even get me started...

Working on the cake topper

My step dad helped me get the wood parts cut properly (I drilled the legs in though).  All the parts are coming together, and my mom is going to paint the faces for me (she's artistic, I'm not so much), then I'll start dressing them!  Yay!

Shoe help!

So, my bridesmaids will be wearing green dresses (all different shades), with nude/champagne colored shoes.  I really want to wear green heels to stand out (and to get those awesome wedding shoe pics of course).  Now I just need to decide what to get.  After much research, I've narrowed it down to two.  Keep in mind that I am looking for heels that are 3 inches or less:)
