Our Cake Topper!

I don't know why I'm jumping straight to this, but I really loved our cake topper.  I made it with the help of my step-dad (who by the way insisted that I make these sturdy...that's just how he is) who helped with the construction of the wooden bodies, and my mother with some of the details.  I got so many compliments on it too!  Makes all the effort worth it when you get genuine compliments!  Here are some pictures of it, thanks to our awesome photographers, MoscaPhoto:)

less than two weeks

and still so much to do.  Which explains why I haven't been on here with updates--no excuses, but seriously.  With the wedding coming up, last minute details to finish, and moving, life is pretty busy.  Here's a little something from my phone though...

I've made a little progress...now to paint the face and add more accessories.  I've also got to work on the groom...once the groom decides what he and his groomsmen will wear (yes, he insisted on choosing himself, and yes, it's less than 2 months from the big day, and he hasn't even thought about it yet.  oh--and YES, it's driving me crazy).

Working on the cake topper

My step dad helped me get the wood parts cut properly (I drilled the legs in though).  All the parts are coming together, and my mom is going to paint the faces for me (she's artistic, I'm not so much), then I'll start dressing them!  Yay!
