After a week of being in the Osaka area, we headed back to Tokyo. We savored the snow one last time before saying goodbye to Shirakawa-go, then hopped on a bus to Takayama, then the train to Tokyo. That night, we met up with some old family friends and had a wonderful dinner--first time I'd eaten snail, and it was delicious!
